Southern sweet tea is made with black tea. Specifically, the Pekoe and the Orange Pekoe - the 2nd & 3rd leaves of the black tea plant. This brand of fruit-flavored sweet tea intends to utilize its black tea plant logo to communicate the flavor variants through color-coding these two leaves. The brandmark intends to appear naive, but is actually very calculated. All the letters stem from one single letterform - the n. The letterspacing is also meticulously balanced and even. There is a sense of science and uniformity within the brandmark.

So... the South isn’t known to host the smartest of people. Of course, this is merely a stereotype. However, if the vast majority’s perception is such, let’s be cheeky and play into it! Misspelling the word ‘honey’ as ‘hunny’ reveals the brand’s youthful and playful personality. This is a great method of breaking the category of mass bottled tea beverages, as most of the competition looks rustic and dated.
